Little Pigs Barbecue, 4927 Alpine Road, Columbia

The meeting will start around 5:15 PM with social time; supper will be served around 5:45 PM. The cost is the same as always: $10.00 for a barbeque dinner. Beer can be purchased if desired. We will have our donation raffle as usual to support veterans charities. Hope to see all of you there, and bring your friends as well.

We are proud to have First Lieutenant Murray Price as our speaker, a long time member of our Club. A native of Red Bank, Murray volunteered for the Army Air Corps after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Murray became a B-24 Liberator pilot and flew 40 combat missions in the Pacific Theater from Saipan and Guam. He participated in the bombing of Iwo Jima prior to the ground invasion. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, seven Air Medals, and two Battle Stars. He returned to Lexington after the war, married and raised a family while pursuing a successful career in the wholesale food industry.

I hope all of you can attend this meeting, as well as the upcoming meetings to follow. We are also planning some special trips and events this year to augment the regular programs. Hope to see you there.
